Jean-Michel Basquiat
Jean-Michel Basquiat was an iconic artist of 1980s New York. Despite his short career, he became widely known for works inspired by street art he began creating as a teenager, as well as for his distinctive imagery referencing art history. His paintings, drawings, and prints incorporate a wide range of influences, including African, Aztec, and Greek cultures, along with elements of American culture such as jazz, baseball, and social and political themes.
