Aracena S – Antiviral Ointment for Cold Sore Relief (2g)

Aracena S is an antiviral ointment formulated to treat recurrent cold sores (herpes labialis) on the lips. It contains Vidarabine, an active ingredient that effectively inhibits the growth of the herpes virus when applied at the earliest signs of an outbreak.

Active Ingredient (per 1g of ointment):

• Vidarabine – 30 mg

• Inactive ingredients: Petrolatum, Liquid Paraffin

How to Use:

• Apply a small amount of ointment directly to the affected area 1 to 4 times daily.

• Begin using at the first sign of tingling or burning on or around the lips.

• Apply after each meal and before bedtime.

• Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration of use.

• Use only on the lips – not for other areas of the body.

• Do not use for more than 2 weeks.

• Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

• Consult a physician before using on children.

Effectiveness:
Aracena S is designed for individuals who have been previously diagnosed with herpes labialis and are experiencing a recurrence.

Precautions:

• Do not use if you have never been diagnosed with cold sores.

• Do not use if you have widespread skin lesions, fever, severe rash, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have atopic dermatitis.

• Avoid use if allergic to any of the ointment's components.

• Not suitable for internal use or application to mucous membranes.

• Always consult a doctor before using on children.

Possible Side Effects:
Some users may experience itching, burning, redness, or mild irritation at the application site.
